newbie from fl

#1 Postby lp8391 » Sun Sep 14, 2003 4:33 pm

I stumbled on this board yesterday and have been reading some of the posts and have really found alot of the info helpful. However, as a Jacksonville Beach resident who relocated back here after losing home to Hugo, I can honestly say that calling the Fl posters "people I disagree with" seems a little unfair. I personally would head for the hills if I thought that this thing was heading for FL, however, I WILL be on edge UNTIL it is due N of me.
and THANKS FOR ALL THE INFO...this board is fantastic!

Welcome! you will love it here.. Floridians do tend to overreact to any storm near us but after being throught Andrew it is better safe than sorry.. I am with you in saying once Isabel is well north of me I will feel much better!!

Welcome and let me remind you....there are a lot of wonderful Floridians here who are both respected as weather folks and as people, too.

Any references that seem a little off color may or may not represent the opinions of some others.

Thanks for joining.

Lived here 7 years now and wouldn't be anyplace else. Of course, I live near Orlando and put up with tourists and snow birds....
I agree Floridians have every reason to be gun shy and when its moving north I'll breath a sigh of relief too. Just wish it would northeast nobody needs this coming for them. Glad you found the best board on the net.
