Wow.. she's not really reintensifying as fast as I thought she would. If she doesn't deepen soon all bets are off with the gyrodynamics. But for now, the ridge should be strong enough to keep it moving W to WNW in the meantime.

HD.. I am by no means backing off my prediction.

I think the NHC should be scrambling right about now.

So you are really thinking Melbourne, FL?? I am not a Met by any means but I just dont see it.. everything I see points to exactly what NHS states. I guess if she does not start moving NW by tomorrow night I will rethink it but I dont think that is going to happen.

Well Weatherman, if you don't like it, leave. But if you leave, make sure you don't leave until after Isabel is well north of Florida's latitude...leaving Florida perfectly unharmed...cough cough ahem.

Hey bahamaswx...just wondering how that "throwing all the models out the window here due to their failure to compensate for gyrodynamics and their failure at forecasting the strengths of the ridge, and the trough" was going right about now. Just wanting to check up on you.

UKMET : Usually Keeps Making Erronious Tracks ( lol... thought I'd try to lighten the mood)

Actually, I think it has been performing rather well, considering the many factors involved.

Luckily for them a fortunate turn of events resulted in Isabel suddenly weakening. Looks like the models won't have to require gyro data after all.
