See recent "T numbers" post by most helpful "Cycloneye".
His sat services link shows a locus that is NNW of the last , four am advisory fm NHC.
It is also NW from the prior sat services locus of five hours ago. So it seems to be making THE BIG FLORIDA-SAVING TURN.
Question...WHY IS IT TURNING? THe heralded front is not yet in its area...just at the appalachacola bump of fla panhandle.
Local tv map even shows the heralded front ...tomorrow...lifting up and crossing fla at the latt of Jacksonville, well north of Izzy.
WHAT IS TURNING IZZY? The change in track is since about one am CST, so I do not think it is a jog. Looks like a trend.

PS thanks cycloneye for the most helpful raw data, fresh off the presses as they come in!

when
you mean the front now at appalachacola, or the one coming Friday/sat? the current fla panhandle one is set to ooze north to level of jacksonville. How can that contact Izzy?

There is a second stronger trough heading to the east coast now. It passed our area in Houston late yesterday. It will be close enough tomorrow to start exerting stronger influence to the motion and should produce a pronouned NW turn during the day tomorrow.

The cold front that passed through Texas yesterday is still expected to dissipate. The southern portion first, then the central and northern portions.
It is the second, stronger trough moving in from the northwest that is suppose to lift Isabel more northerly, but at the same time the ridge over the Atlantic is playing an important role, too.
