this is my first post.. after reading hundreds of these informative posts.. kudos to all for some great analysis.
obviously there are much more important things to worry about than this.. but for just a moment. the wife and i had a flight planned out of new york (LGA) early friday morning to charlotte (CLT). its safe to say we would be going nowhere. now we are considering leaving a day early, thursday morning about 7:30am. looking at the current storm track, when will the last flights be going out of new york on thursday if any? do we have a chance to make it to our destination or will the skies shut down across the seaboard wednesday night?
air travel in the east this thursday

Welcome flashflood, and I am glad to see you posting.
I am not sure of the answers to your questions, but my advice is the earlier on Thursday you could fly, the better. Or Wednesday night, if possible. I don't think any airports would shut down on Wednesday night unless Isabel starts moving quite a bit faster than expected.
