SUBJECT: HURRICANE ISABEL UPDATE

The South Carolina Emergency Management Division is monitoring Hurricane Isabel in the Atlantic. The State Emergency Operations Center was activated with a combined staff of approximately 50 this morning at 8 o'clock. The Division continues to operate at Operational Condition 4, which puts the Division and State government at an increased level of vigilance.
