Shear tendency chart

Here is a chart that indicated Isabel is moving into an area with less shear.

This may help explain why she is reintensifying. The sudden weakening in this system last night into this morning, as has been explained elsewhere, was due to a conversion from an annular to classic storm, entrainment of some dry air on the west side and some shear, which reduced outflow on the west side of the system. The dry air entrainment has ended, and with shear decreasing...the outflow on the west side of the storm should improve.
