We actually broke the record today, 87 degrees after a low of only 73 degrees. It felt like a late May day. After a pretty chilly week last week and pretty chilly Thanksgiving eve I get the feeling a lot of people are going to be getting sick with these temperature swings.

Major rain event for Central Florida Tuesday and Tuesday night. 2-3 in widespread forecast for cfla. After that colder, temperatures with highs in the mid to upper 60s for a couple days, and then lows in the low to mid to upper 40s for a couple of days for cfla.

After that gradual warming trend is indicated from the ECMWF and GFS, with no real significant cold indicated for the next two weeks at least. Teleconnections appear very unfavorable for really cold air.

However, I looked at the ECMWF and GFS, I can see colder air pooling in Central Canada. Will it buckle and make it down to Florida?

Weather geeks: When will we get some significantly colder air in Florida? What's your outlook for the next month?

Well the NWS Miami, and Local NBC Station have gone more bullish (similiar to what the models were showing Friday) on Thanksgiving's cold front, with second reinforcing shot of cool/cold air pushing through Thursday PM/Friday AM. IF this were to pan out (and that's a big IF still) with the positive NAO, this would certainly be impressive at least IMO especially when the NAO/AO are positive and the PNA is negative (or trending that way)!

Wow, some training going on across Metro Orlando with the line of storms barely moving northward but thunderstorms keep reforming.
Drove through I-4 with big time ponding going on, traffic moving at barely 40 mph.

Those temps are not unusual to see with the current teleconnections, if temps were to fall down to the 30s down in S FL and or stay below average for longer period of time then I would be agreeing with you that it would be unusual to have.

Very heavy rain is on a collision course for west central florida and it could arrive in the tampa bay area just in time for the afternoon commute.

Now I am not questioning the calls but we have had 2 Tornado warnings a lot of rotation why no tornado watch? I am sure there is a good reason and I am just seeing it at 20/20 and not in depth...could be a wild night

my guess is the areal coverage and extent of the threat is insufficient to warrant a watch. the line approaching the west coast has weakened.
