radar is lighting up for sure across Central Florida. Looks like a healthy dose of rainfall with some embedded thunderstorms. Hopefully nothing too strong. It is just in-time for rush hour though across Tampa Bay. Some pretty good cells just moved through Northern Pinellas County (impacting psyclone I am sure) and there are some deeper reds on the radar showing offshore Clearwater over the Gulf, with some training occurring.

Approaching 3 inches for the day here at my locale and still pouring. Just a thorough drenching! Total measured rainfall since Sunday now approaching 5.5 inches and counting. Quite a rainfall event for the state.
This will all move out of at least North Florida by midday tomorrow and the rest of the peninsula by late tomorrow evening as the cold front finally pushes through the peninsula just in time for Thanksgiving. Cool, High Pressure will build in through Saturday, with lows in the 30s both Thanksgiving morning and Friday morning here, and highs near 60. Perfect Thanksgiving weather as far as I am concerned. Nice, cool weather to go along with the turkey out of the oven and all the other goodies!

northjaxpro, NDG and others: GFS in fantasy land indicating for cfla highs in the upper 40s and lows in the 20s.
For cfla: GFS
Highs 12/9 upper 50s highs: http://www.instantweathermaps.com/GFS-p ... F&hour=348
Lows 12/9 overnight: http://www.instantweathermaps.com/GFS-p ... F&hour=360

Lows 12/10 overnight: 20's widespread: http://www.instantweathermaps.com/GFS-p ... F&hour=384
What do you think? AO seems to be heading toward negative territory, PNA positive, NAO neutral. Let's see how this goes.

Yep, you are right NDG in terms of seeing freezing weather deep down into peninsula Florida.

IMO I wouldn't expect any big cold fronts bringing real cold air into Florida through at least mid-December according to the latest CPC outlooks, and teleconnections.
Also something interesting is how remotely similar this current Thanksgiving East Coast trough is to the one that moved through Thanksgiving last year both bringing Travel Troubles along the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast as well as cool/cold air all the way down into Florida. (Perfect timing this year and last in terms of cool/cold air coming into Florida for Thanksgiving)

Copious amounts of rain has hit cfla today and will continue through Wednesday.

Can anyone post an image or link of Central Florida actual rainfall amounts in a color coded map?

northjaxpro wrote::uarrow: Well, we will have to wait and see asd123. This is 2 weeks out. There is a pool of arctic air building over central Canada, and will be watching carefully the teleconnections the next 10 days or so. If we get a -AO/ at least a slightly -NAO and a +PNA going into the first week of December, then that arctic air will plunge southward.
Definitely something to watch heading into December!
A look at the cold air building over Canada...

Someone posted in the Texas thread that Ryan Maue posted that their might be 72F anomalies by the end of November in Western Canada. This page in the link below contains some outlook into the upcoming weather pattern for the next couple of weeks.
