It seems that N.E will miss the brunt of the storm with each new model run. The models all seem to point to a NNW then NW track with no effect on N.E. Am I right here ??? or should we still prepare for Isabel.

The 18Z GFS model is in alignment with the latest GFDL in bringing the central of Isabel to just south of Cape Hateras northwestward into central Virginia during the day on Thursday. This would spare the northeast most of the major effects of the storm. We will see if this path holds with future model runs. It will all depend on the strength of the ridge to the north of the storm.

The storm is moving more Northward than models say
Models could be to far west with the track and some weather people are worry in ct that storm will come further Northward.
Ct is getting already today. Southern New England will waves rising to 20-- 30 feet waves by Thursday. tornades will be Likely in Southern New England area . East of the track is where tornades are Likely, heavy rain and very windy.
