As the storm turns...

#1 Postby Josephine96 » Mon Sep 15, 2003 6:35 pm

I am finally starting to feel better lol.. Though there is concern for all our northern board members...

Now that Florida is 99.9 repeating 9 percent clear {she won't be 100 till she's north of 30} It's time for me to give an idea where I think it may end up..

I think it will go somewhere between Virginia Beach and Atlantic City... I was gonna say South Carolina but I'm afraid of getting bashed lol so I'll say between VA Beach and Atlantic City...

So you are finally on board with us..even though you are an admitted NHC basher...and that the sharp turn it just took was not realistic? ;)

Well...she's has been very well "behaved"...and no...you can't spank her if she gets out of line. The way the ridge and trof will set up...there won't be much room for her to move. The problem is the direction she is coming from and the way the coast is shaped...it makes a big diff in landfall even though the track may only be off 100 miles in 72 hours.

Speaking of something crazy....dont't forget Lili (sp?) last year.....heading for LA as a cat 4 i believe and then she backed off to a 1. Strange things can happen :)

I do believe FL is in the clear now.....wouldn't have said that a couple of days ago.

For all you middle east coasters.....my thoughts are with you. Please heed any directives given to you.

I've been reading everyones posts and I know that everyone has been saying North of us for several days now, but with a storm of that size it can pretty much go where it wants. There's always the possibility of a surprise when it comes to nature.

Over the last few days, reading all the different posts and predictions I have been feeling better with each passing day about this storm going away from us. But with it being relatively close to Florida and starting to parallel the state you can't help but wonder "What if".......

Thanks to everyone posting on this site. It's great and very informative. I've learned quite a bit about Hurricanes over the past week or so.

For everyone that may meet Isabel up close and personal..... stay safe

If I remember right Lili got stalled over the Yucatan Peninsala and that's why she dropped down...much to everyones relief (Doing this from memory so If I am wrong bop me on the head). That was looking like such a disaster in the making for LA ..I can't imagine what would of happened if her intensity didn't drop.
