How much beer are you planning on drinking? :P

On a serious note, I hope the temps stay just above freezing. I hate cold rains, but I'd take that over someone getting seriously injured on an icy road. I'll be here waiting for the 2015 snowstorm. It will happen.

You aren't kidding about that! Freezing rain on a big party night is a bad, bad mix. I as well hope it stays above freezing for the sake of the uninformed people on the roads.

Now regarding a snowy 2015, are you referring to early 2015 or late 2015    :ggreen:

That's a 5-7 degree bust which could make a huge difference when surface temps get closer to freezing. Just something which raises an eyebrow.

Portastorm I don't know what your temp did but here on the north side of town we were predicted to reach 50, it may have before I checked at noon but since then the temp has been sitting at 45.

It never got above 45 today and now I'm at 41.

Looks like we will spend 12+ hours below freezing tonight as we are at 31 now with a 28 degree dew point. We will likely stay in the 30s all day tomorrow with cold air advection and cloud cover building in. With dew points in the 20s it is looking like if we can get precip by 8am or so Thursday freezing rain is becoming more likely.

Another report from a NWS off duty met from the SJT office ... steady freezing drizzle in west San Angelo, crunchy grass, icing on surfaces.

Is moisture moving in ahead of schedule. First EWX had my forecast tonight as only cloudy with a low of 34. Now they have added a slight chance of rain but raised the low to 39. I am at 39 right now with a dewpoint of 34. We shall wait and see.
