Yeah it looks like the cold will relax for a bit. So early, but the scenario from those maps looks promising. Looks like the type of setup that would be better for us winter weather geeks vs the last couple outbreaks.

If this Spring is anything like last Spring, it will be extremely dry and boring.

FWD only issued 8 Tornado Warnings in their CWA in 2014 - the entire year. In other years, there have been plenty of DAYS where they have issued 8 or more Tornado Warnings.

A few returns are developing west of the DFW Metro. It'll be interesting to see what happens as they move eastward towards the Metro.

Freaking WAA has messed up our man Portastorm.

Porta, I know you are in there, you only have to survive this situation two more weeks.

That might just be the amount of time before our next chance of anything happening.

Anyone else in Central Texas get the feeling we've maxed out our temperatures, and the rest of the day will be spent in a slow decline as the effects of the front continue to enter the area?

Temperatures in my neck of the woods have dropped over a degree in the last 40 minutes from 36.3 to 35.1. Dew points are in the low-mid 20s.

It's most likely virga rain/sleet/snow, but if it is falling wet bulbing would likely occur since are dew points are at 12 degrees.

Pic below taken from the Boynton Beach inlet Skycam along the SE Coast of Florida where temps are in the upper 70s with light East winds. South Florida is about the only warm part of the country right now. I'm sure Wxman wouldn't mind being in South Florida right now either! :D

That upper low is not weakening as it moves E and is traveling a bit quicker than the guidance had originally suggested and not shearing out. Lightning strikes reported with that Upper low over Northern Mexico at this time.
