I am not a meteorologist, and any posts made by me are not official forecasts or to be interpreted as being intelligent. These posts are just my opinions and are probably silly opinions.

More great cold rain for us Super Bowl weekend. Looks like the precip falls mostly on Saturday rather than Sunday. Maybe some snow for northeast TX next time. If only it would get colder here in Houston. While freezing cold rain is great, snow would be better.

I'm getting depressed thinking this cold, wet winter weather may only last another couple of months...

Plotting a meteogram for Dallas-Ft. Worth, the "snow" on Super Bowl weekend appears to fall in above-freezing temps (like today). No precip once the surface temp falls to 32F. The snow map on WeatherBell looks suspicious, a it's all shaded gray, which usually means cold rain vs. snow.

Oh well, I think I'll go outside and play in the lovely cold rain! Wish I could be on my bike today to enjoy it. :rain:

They can only be trusted when they show Arctic air reaching Texas. I don't trust them when they show warm temperatures for us.

Please stop showing those maps and talking about cold rain, freezing rain, and snow! Things are bad enough as it is.

When does spring start again?

Huge discrepancies showing up in the long range forecast for the winter storm next weekend...key to this storm is the system off the coast of Baja (seems this is always the case). Check out the differences between the Euro and GFS in the eastern pacific on day 10...Euro keeps it spinning off the coast while GFS ejects it out across the southern US creating the southern plains winter storm.

IMO, Euro looks really suspicious due to the deep trough digging in behind it - normally this would eject systems out that are digging that far south, rarely do you see such deep systems so close in proximity to each other!!

I'm tired of cold rain. I want snow or spring. I don't care if rain here is precious or what not... you will never ever ever find me cheering for a cold rain after this awful month...

3 straight events that could have been snow all cold boring rain.

Oh and if the Super Bowl storm is anything but more of the same I'll probably die from shock at this point.

Wow. Back when I was slingin' pies, we absolutely loved ice and snow. Lots of deliveries and big tips.

Times are tighter now I guess.

Hmm there are showers moving Southwest in Denton County, The low isn't near yet, what could be causing that storm motion?
