I thought you must be getting snow again from the looks of the radar.

The light snow that has been going on here is covering the roads. It's not heavy but it's persistent. Without the sun it's doing it again.

Exposed surfaces iced over here in Cedar Park. It does seem like we have a lull in the precipitation. Very, very little coming down at the moment.

Yep, as bad as Dec 2013...turning into solid ice, particularly secondary roads. But hey at least it's a winter weather advisory, could be worse haha

Bigger flakes coming down by the airport. This may not the foot storm, but goodness it has been something else. Everything is getting a fresh coat.

Oh I know... nothing like a daytime snowstorm. I know we might lose some accumulations but just to see it in the daytime so peaceful is amazing.

I actually haven't had a nighttime snowstorm in awhile now after having a streak when I was younger. The last 3-4 in Alabama were all daytime lol

What meteorological mechanic is causing the ripple looking returns on radar west of DFW?

Hello all. That looks pretty accurate for me. I'm in the little red spot in West Sherman and I measured an average of 5.5" at 6:00pm.

What a day. My ex texted me at 9:45 this am to ask if the snow had started. I went outside and saw one single flake. "First flake!" was my response. The first of many it seems...

I took pics and vids and I'll post them after I go through and cull. In the meantime:

Currently at our house it's 31. No precipitation right now that I could feel, but the drizzle earlier has left our cars covered in a sheet of ice. Parts of various tollways are closed.

For North Texas it's been a FG Monday and hail Mary win after an onside kick recovery.
