Duncanville officals have been out on the roads, and at this time the roads have not iced over. Tomorrow's forecast shows no precipitation after 4 am and sunshine by noon.

Wow... False security very irresponsible

When was this? Clearly they have no idea what they are talking about.

Just before 10pm. They apparently don't have access to a radar.

School closures are slowly trickling in. All they have to do is go outside.

I'm happy to report I'm in West Fort Worth and that it's falling mostly as snow. Almost blizzard like conditions .. Unreal and beautiful

Definitely seem to be stuck at 34 here.

I'm not suprised for the central core as the urban heat effect tends to slow it down but I would expect the temps to eventually drop below freezing. I am a little suprised that Georgetown has slowed though.

I doubt there is a heat island effect going on. There hasn't been any sunshine the past several days.

29 in Heath, finally getting some sleet. Radar is clear that after midnight we should get heavy sleet, maybe thundersleet. Rockwall ISD is like Duncanville, until they witness it, it does not count. Royse City already cancelled tomorrow.

Still waiting for the transition here. We are getting moderate to heavy sleet right now. Most everything is white outside. I think those Duncanville officials need to take another trip outside.

Otherwise I could sleep in tomorrow and not get a 5AM call from RISD that they cancelled.

It's gone to about 75/25 snow vs sleet in the span of just a few minutes and it's sticking.

Changed over to all snow just west of downtown Fort Worth. Huge giant flakes. I'm uploading a video to youtube now and will post the link when it's done.

Heavy snow in S. Frisco at the moment. Just a beautiful topper to a thick layer of sleet.
