I have several friends that have been asking me what they are going to see if anything from Isabel.. they live in extreme western VA past the mountains and all that... Near the border of Kentucky..
I want to just tell them winds and rain... but if she makes landfall in VA and goes due west.. they'll get rocked..
What are they going to expect.. I know the NWS in Blacksburg said Tropical Storm force winds.. but will they get anything more than that..?
Opinions welcomed...
Question about Isabel...

Nothing
Our calculations keep TS-force winds 150 miles east of Blacksburg. Isabel won't be able to track west across VA as upper winds will be coming from the south. It should travel NW into the coast then turn north, passing through central PA then NNE-NE into Canada. Your friends will probably see nothing from Isabel, as there will be very little effects west of the track.
