OK-Dot closed Roosevelt Bridge earlier today when water got onto Hwy. 70.

To my knowledge, Willis Bridge from Texas into Oklahoma via Hwy. 377 is still open.

Hwy. 91 bridge over Spillway Creek was blown out several days ago as expected and is now destroyed.

Thats the main concern. Just read the forecast discussion and it sounds like they are scared the line may not exit the coast quickly again. Also, repeat this same thing on late Saturday except with a cold front involved

DFW is a third of an inch away from the wettest May ever according to Dan Henry just now.(.97" of rain in like a half hour)

and I-35 W southbound is apparently closed somewhere in Fort Worth due to flooding.

beating 1957, and the top 1982. Two very strong Nino's not just by ocean temperatures but the atmospheric Ninos as well.

Gonna try to piece together a photo album of the rivers (and maybe a few creeks/lowland flooding) I took on my way from Jacksonville to San Marcos yesterday and then back again today. I'm pooped though, woke up @ 6:45am and had to move in a trailer full of furniture/belongings from ground level to 2nd floor room and then drive 4.5 hours back home, and then finish a data entry contract I had due tomorrow morning. So I may get a bit lazy, but I will do my best.

Squall line moving through now. Fierce gusty winds and heavy rain.
Letting up. Went to check around house inside and turned on porch light to see what I can of vegetation. Some twigs strewn about, but everything is upright. Thankful for lake replenishment, but I am ready for garden variety (non-severe) storms and some sunshine!

Here's the photo album I took of the river levels between Palestine, TX and San Marcos, TX on the morning of 5/27/15. I couldn't remember the exact location of a couple of the low lying areas/creeks so I generalized in the descriptions of a couple of photos. I've got photos of the Bastrop forest fire area from 2011 that I'll post later, as well as photos of the river levels on my return back this past afternoon.

EDIT: I wasn't able to include the Neches, but it's well above its banks on US84 between Palestine and Maydelle. We left before daylight on Wednesday, and I wound up driving back from Palestine to my mom's today, so I wasn't able to catch any photos of the Neches as I crossed it on both ends of the trip.

Also, I could have doubled or tripled that photo album if I had caught every picture of lowland flooding/pooling we passed. But I just wanted to focus on the high-water flooding of creeks and rivers so the documentation/album wouldn't become too extensive.

I would have shrunk the images down, but I'm pooped and didn't feel like resizing that many images. Sorry limited-data users I may get around to it tomorrow if any of you guys want to check it out but are limited by your data plans.

Starting to let up here. Had a solar screen flapping but I think it's still mostly on. Can't see any tree damage, too dark. Don't think it was windy enough for fence damage but again, too dark out.

Lots of wind, rain, lightning. Would have slept through it if the pup wasn't terrified.

Major flood situation developing in Dallas just check DFW scanner's twitter... My power went out at 1230 from a little storm on the edge and hasn't been back since and now its pouring with vivid lightning.

I circled common tree landmarks in red and a roof in yellow/orange so you can view the difference from basically the same location. The Google Streetview was about 8 ft higher and in the right lane while my photo was taken from a lower vantage point and the left lane. So viewpoint is somewhat different but the common landmarks should zero you in on the drastic change of landscape before and after the flood.

If DFW gets 4-5 inches tonight, the wettest month (all time) could go down by this weekend. That record is held by April of 1922 at 17.64 inches.

I haven't seen the backyard this bad... it's not just a lake(which it was the previous events), it's actually flowing water.

and while I was watching in between lightning a really vivid lightning strike and a few seconds later the power was back on. Strange.
