Is everyone asleep around here? I'm still stuck at the airport in Chicago. Good news is that we're booked on the 9:30 flight to IAH. Bad news is that it arrives at 12:20pm. Hope the squalls haven't shut down the airport by then.

Bill doesn't look too impressive on satellite. Maybe only 45-50kts at landfall.

Good to see you on the boards ROCK!!! We definitely need you today! Now is it my eyes, or is he chuggin WNW? I thought NW was 285* to 305*? I'm not buying the Eastern route, as much as the on top of Austin, Westerly route. That Low in West Texas seems to be a factor....Just my HO, so pay attention to official forecasts yadda yatta yatttda!!!

Good morning all. Had a few hours sleep and waking up to light rain, no wind, and mockingbird singing outside my window. Has Bill missed us completely here in Clear Lake/Houston? Not looking for trouble at all but what's happening?

Hasn't made landfall yet - ABC13 is saying closer to 8 or 8:30.

Anyone think a center relocation is out of the question at this point?

The center definitely looks to be tightening up now (i.e. getting slightly stronger). Location about 50 miles SE of Victoria Tx.

In which direction do you think it's tracking? My radar loop seems to show little movement.

Seems to be slowly moving to the NW or N-NW.

Perhaps about 50 miles South? Especially if he tightens up and gets under those hot towers.....

Last couple of loop images seem more northerly now. It does look like an eyewall is trying to form.

that said, it looks to have run out of time to become a hurricane. It really needed several more hours over the water than it will have
