I don't think we are going to get anything jabman. I think it is all going to miss us, just a little rain.

No offense, but first, the system is still offshore. Second, did you see all the MOISTURE behind this system? Third, do you see all the moisture coming up with this system on our side? Please look at the radar and see if you do not see this. Thanks. :)

The greatest impact for Houston, and many areas inland, will be flooding as cells and bands come ashore and train. The high probability area to get excessive rainfall is just to the west of Houston (per models) closer to the core but given ground everywhere are already saturated it's a problem for everybody.

Good thing this sucker's close to the coast. I think if it had 12 more hours, we'd be looking at a low-end Cat 1 or 2!

I think the impact has just been delayed. Tons of moisture associated with this storm. We'll see exactly where it goes but that moisture has to go somewhere.

To further illustrate my point, look at the winds south of Galveston..

Looking a bit south or it has stalled a little bit.Prolly a pre-cursor to moving back towards the north. HRRR looks like banding will begin occurring very soon for the Houston area. Radar is starting to really fill in.

PWS is back up now and ive reported .38" from random showers passing through. They are not long lived but they are very heavy downpours.

Precip seems to be hitting a wall to the west right along US 77/185 in Victoria.

I'm seeing the same thing. I hope the drainage work we've been doing and worked on some more last night helps out.

Been getting those heavy but short-lived showers as well. We're up to an inch of rain since last night.

Could this just make a loop just offshore and spend the whole day over water moving back north?

You can do this sir. We need you. I have the landing party waiting for you at the airport. It will say "Rock Star" on a posterboard. :)

I dubt the whole day, maybe a few more hours. That high will eventually swing it around i think. It is odd that it wobbled West-South-West though, i could see a westerly wobble but not a southerly one.

Could one of you very knowledgeable folks help me understand what is happening in the most current satellite image? It looks like there are multiple areas of circulation, instead of just the one verified by the hurricane hunter.

RECON has a good center fix near Matagorda Bay. We have been mentioning for days the long fetch very high precipitable water values (2.50+ inches) capable of bringing copious amounts moisture into Texas through Wednesday evening.
