That NHC 5 day cone keeps creeping closer and closer to the CONUS. I can't remember the last time I was in the cone.

Southeast Florida can use the rain however, pretty serious drought here.
Not all Florida is apparently like Sarasota.

Man, I haven't been able to keep track of your area and that is bizarre. From Englewood to Crystal River is basically so far above average it is crazy.

Wow some really intense hot towers popping in the SW now. Those are the reds showing up in AVN IR satellite. Since we are heading for DMAX overnight now there could be some impressive strengthening...

Could this end up a major before conditions become more hostile

Thanks for you input ozonepete :) . Do you think that this RI could bring it to a cat 2 during the next 6-12hours? I ask you that because of Danny seems so versatile IMO.

It really wouldn't surprise me. A lot of people are saying remember that due to large fluctuations in strength this could go way down in a hurry. But the other side is true as well - this could do another RI and pass 110 mph no problem because it's so small.

Hi Gusty, see just above here. :uarrow: Though not in 6 hours, lord help us! But by tomorrow afternoon, there's a very decent chance there for sure, especially cause it's got banding now to help keep dry air intrusions to a minimum.

Also, we have not said our official hellos yet this season. So good to see you. :) :)

Based on the forecast track I wouldn't be surprised to see watches raised in the LA at some point tomorrow. Probably closer to tomorrow evening.

Even if this storm really weakens near the islands, could it have a chance in the bahamas where conditions seem to be favorable?

They will probably wait until recon goes in before putting up any watches

Ok thank you! I'm glad for this reception :D So good to see and read you too. It's always a pleasure to met you there :P
 110 mph man that's very strong! Things from past with small systems becoming nasty like a fury! Remembering Marylin 1995 even if the story was completely different. Theses systems have a terrible energy.
Honestly, we hope for water. The situation is catastrophic in most of the EC especially in PR! I will continue to read you and ask you questions as Danny continues it trips close the EC. Again thanks for all :)

I've seen this comment several times on here but I think RI is used quite flippantly. For a system to be undergoing RI, max sustained winds must increase at least 30 kt in a 24-hour period. I see moderate strengthening, but nothing to suggest RI.

It went from 50 MPH to 80 MPH so very close and still has another 12 hours to go up to RI criteria we shall see.

CDO might be expanding a little bit. Did a ruler check in google earth and the CDO appeared to be about 107 miles.
I know, not very scientific.
