VA map to check out

#1 Postby Scott_inVA » Wed Sep 17, 2003 9:41 pm

Folks,

I've been beta testing a mesonet map we've designed here at WREL. It ingests METAR and reliable PWS (personal weather station) data. I'm still bugging it out but has worked well as a research tool.

Right now we use it for VA temps but as Isabel comes inland I can switch to rain, SLP or wind. Cool 8-)

Unfortunately it isn't displaying Norfolk ATTM but it'll give you an idea of what's going on once the TC is inland. Would like to enlarge if there's time but I haven't even cleaned up the yard or deck or done the storm windows yet. But, here's the link if you'd like to use Thursday night:

If you check it out and have a specific location you want me to try to display I'll give it a shot. PM or email me.
