So far, so good over here.
Approaching 1.25" RA here with plenty more to come... and we now are sustaining 15-25MPH, gusting to 37MPH. Pressure dropping rapidly as center approaches. The Howling Hounds will be out late tonight when the Low passes and pressures build.
As you've heard HUGE power outages though my area is okay so far. Numerous trees down so the wires will be too soon. Light-Moderate inland flooding Charlottesville, Staunton and Waynesboro.
You guys probably know more than me at this point but VA and e/c NC are a mess. Grateful no Cat-4.

It's very fortunate that Isabel lost quite a bit of the punch she had several days beforehand and that she didn't come in as a CAT 3 or higher. We're still seeing quite a bit of damage from Isabel from NC northward into VA already and she's winding down only slowly. As of 9 pm, Isabel is no longer a hurricane (first time Isabel was below hurricane strength since Sept. 7th @ 11 am or a full 11½ days.)
So far, the estimated without power stands around 1.5 - 2.0 million customers across NC/VA and the Mid-Atlantic region. Damage figures will likely be quite high even though Isabel made landfall as CAT 2 storm.
