Please Bare With Us...

#1 Postby chadtm80 » Fri Sep 19, 2003 6:02 pm

Hello everyone.. Im sure most of you have noticed some errors and some wierd things happening on the board the last couple of days.. Such as getting the "Page cannot display" message when trying to log in.. If this happens to you after you hit log in, just hit your refresh button.. That should do the trick for the time being.. If that does not work then dump your temp internet files and cookies and trya again.

We have ran into some issues and we are working hard to get them all corrected.. Sorry, we will have everything up to speed as soon as we can.. If you have any Technical problems please post them in the "Tips, Help, and tests" Forum or contact Myself or marshal via PM or Email..

Thanks,

Chad

It looks like we'll have to change the cookie settings on the board. We will probably do this late tonight. When we do that, you'll have to delete your cookies, close IE and then come back into the board again. Sorry for the problems :-)

I haven't had any problems. Should I be having them?

There doesn't seem to be a lot of reason for who has the problem and who doesn't. It may have someting to do with the patches and OS version everybody is running. We're trying to track down the specific cause and we'll let everyone know when we know more. :-)

ME TOO!! ME TOO!!! I'm in!!!

Seriously though, Admins do an admirable job with this board, especially when you consider how fast we have grown!!! This board by far has the least trouble of any I have been on, technical or otherwise.

I'm sitting here in my underwear, does that count?

But seriously, I had that problem too, and for what it's worth, I'm running Windows ME and am up to date with my patches.

Is anyone still having the problem today? We made a change in the cookie settings and hopefully that will clear things up for most people! :-)

After logging in, I'm still having to hit refresh to bring up the board. However, I wonder if I may not be having computer problems (again!) since I'm not able to bring up links that are being posted on this board.

I had a problem about 20 minutes ago where I was asked to login and then the page couldn't be displayed. I e-mailed Ticka and then tried again.

We know that you guys are on top of it.

I also had to re-login and couldn't get the page to display initially, as I posted in the tips forum. I have faith that you will fix it ASAP. :)

try putting underwear on head, dance in circle and chant "TOGA TOGA TOGA!" that usually takes care of things... p

after you log in and get that initial error page, click [Go] in the browser. that has gotten it to work for me. p

(ps: which admin has the SEXIEST underwear? which admin has the OLDEST underwear? which admin wears NO underwear at all? which admin has the most CREATIVE underwear? which admin HONESTLY owns S2K underwear?)
