Probably won't be another now that the center is moving onshore.

Unless it survives into the Gulf of Mexico, no more Recon as it is making landfall.

I'm curious/watchful/interested to see what Patricia does on the other side of the mountains in Mexico.

ETA: I've appreciated the thoughtful discussion here today. I'm learning a lot.

Most intense winds likely pushing onshore now.

I want a stream so bad.

the iCyclone guys really seem to have a knack for putting themselves in the eyewall/eye. I hope they are okay (Josh was reporting by phone to The Weather Channel)

An amazing tropical weather day. Waking up and seeing a 200MPH CAT 5 hurricane is much better than a cup of coffee. Kidding aside, I hope Josh is safe and holding on tight. What an experience ongoing right now.

Hey everyone, I have friends in Puerto Vallarta in a very secure hotel. They are asking me (of all people) what they should expect as far as winds in the city. Any quick thoughts?

I'm not a meteorologist but I say probably not that strong winds. Patricia is a compact storm and the strongest part is on the eastern side. Potentially hurricane force still which is dangerous.

Seems to have made landfall near Costa Careyes, which is close to where iCyclone is.
