Waiting for the line to reach us, have been watching it traverse the metroplex all evening.

It's beginning to train here... the actual line lasted about 5 minutes but now it's picking up again with the stuff coming out of Dallas.

I had about .60" before it hit.

my dear sister was on her way to school at TSU and got stuck in a parking lot. She could not get on campus. She did make it back home, but the flooding did pull her bumper off her car (i have no idea how, i didnt ask).... now it is coming our way...hopefully not as bad as the last one...We trick or treated tonight and tomorrow night will be hot chocolate while watching the rain fall....

to all my storm2k friends stuck in today's mess, I hope all is well and damage if any be minor...and in case, our lights go out Happy Halloween and stay safe out there!

Johnson, Erath, Comanche counties to the southwest added to the flood warnings. Looks like we've set up a train.

After zero lightning in the line... there has now been several lightning strikes and thunder rumbles since it started training.

The weather guy on the news earlier said that if we get 10 more inches, we would be at an all time wettest year on record since World War II..

You know it's crazy our standards these days when 3-4" of rain is considered low end. A rainstorm isn't worthy of 2015 unless there is a 10+ total! Most weather systems other years would be considered major if you got a 5" bullseye for a local place.

Exactly! Crazy stats going on this year! :)

The Highland Lake chain would be full and possibly over topped.

The weather guy Jim Spencer down here said that based on this El Nino pattern we are seeing with storms coming in every five days, the lakes are likely to get full, and maybe over full.

2007 was the last year that both lakes Travis and Buchanan were both full at the same time. One or the other has been several feet below full since that time.

Looking at radar , Dallas county might have some serious issues, lots of training with heavy rain. Might see 2-4" more in spots

Hope they both fill up, the pending La Niña and drought from hell is coming most likely.

The 0z GFS continues to show widespread mostly light rain on Sunday especially along and east of the I-35 corridor... and then rain returns on Wednesday for a multi-day potentially heavy rain setup(GFS is consistently showing a narrow band of extremely heavy rain)

A big front moves through next Friday afternoon and evening clearing out the rain, with widespread 40s and 50s occurring next Saturday morning and highs only in the 60s and more widespread 40s next Sunday morning.

It has been raining constantly here for a good 3 hours. The yard is looking like it can't handle much more.

I just went out because it's only drizzling for a moment and 2 1/2 inches of rain in the rain gauge! Yard is a mess of water and mud. I dumped the gauge(it only goes to about 5 inches) just in case...

Puts me over 10" for October all in the last 10 days...

5 inches last night here. Im in a terrible mood though. Two of my friends who flooded in May have unfortunately flooded again last night. They live near Brays Bayou and it went out of its banks again. They just moved back in about 6-8 weeks ago. Just unreal. Your prayers for them area welcome. Thank you.
