That blob east of the Antilles may well develop next week.

I noticed earlier that the 12z Canadian tries to spin something up from that area and move it NNW at the end of the 72 hour period.

Canadian has been doing that for a few model runs in a row now. Has it quickly turning out to sea though. GFS carries it as a vorticity max but doesn't seem to develop it. Impressive area of convection but very hostile upper level conditions as of the moment
