Friend lives in the Rowlett area. Significant roof damage and trees smashed their cars. Everyone is safe though.

It hit just to the east of me... but, one of my daughter's friends said that her childhood home near Dalrock Rd. and 66 got demolished. Thankfully, her parents escaped with only minor injuries. She indicated that many homes on her street sustained severe damage. My buddy in Sachse, just off of 78 reports that it missed his neighborhood.

I live in northern Rockwall county near the lake, but we're in New Orleans right now. Do you know which side of 66? Behind the Tom Thumb or south side? I've heard our neighborhood has no damage.

from the reports and damages, it looks like the Tornado tracked along the western shore of Lake Ray Hubbard basically paralleling Dalrock road. That's the eastern half of Rowlett on the peninsula.

This is my understanding too. The western shore in Wylie is a lot of low income. It's about 2 miles from my house to the western shoreline of Ray Hubbard. We go back there tomorrow.

Unfortunately the tornado looked like one of those classics you see on a documentary or a weather book.

Last couple HRRR runs keep dragging an additonal 4+ inches through parts of the Dallas area.

Bush turnpike and I-30 is a mess it seems (eastern Dallas county). With cars overturned on the interstate, even witness reports of cars blown off high overpasses, scenes you read about in those documentaries on "what ifs"

Thank you TheAustinMan. Pretty sure that's just about all of them. I remember seeing the same thing, have a screenshot of it somewhere, a few years back, may have been the 2009 storm.

So far it looks like the majority of deaths (7) is a result of cars being blown from the highways and overpasses. Two were from Copeville, not sure cause of those yet

Fox 4 is showing footage from Garland. The cars were completely destroyed over on I30. So sad the loss of life.
