Nothing much to write home about here, just a dusting here.

Good thing I didn't stay up all night waiting for a surprise to happen! It does appear that we got some flakes in Cedar Hill though. I woke up to find a light dusting on the car and roof.

Nothing too crazy some flakes.

The rest of this week will be chilly. Moisture return doesn't look too great but perhaps someone can squeeze out some flurries from passing shortwaves.

All guidance now point to a very cold January for the state of Texas with blocking over the top. Akin to something that occured in 1965-1966

Where are you exactly? I see low 40s and light rain around there right now.

It is 37 with drizzle here in Tyler.

Dusting in Kennedale, woke up around 330am and it was snowing pretty good, cars, rooftops and yards had a good dusting. When I got up at 6am snow had stopped and only thing that was covered were the cars and rooftops, had about 1/4" on both. When our Director got in to work from Springtown this morning she still had about 3" of snow on the top of her jeep.

How strange ... NWS indicates no snow in Texarkana last 24 hours.

I was wondering the same thing. All the airport there has reported all day is temps in the 40s and rain. That picture you posted is from another winter.

New Year's day (Friday) may be interesting for some. Nothing major but maybe light snow in the air?

An amazing feat considering our latitude. Many locations such as central/southern MS, AL, GA near our latitude (Such as Macon and Jackson) go many years without a snowfall
