There hasn't been this sort of satellite (and radar) data in a number of months/weeks. Looking more like an autumn pattern, with more organized systems producing rain shields rather than the summer time thunderstorm ahead of surface cold front variety. :D

2" so far here on the West side of Houston. That brings my 3 week total now to 11.1"!! Can you say soggy?

Hmmm.. there was a Hurricane Marty in 1985. Maybe that's how they got the name for M. J. Fox's role (Marty McFly) in Back to the Future! ;)

True, wow. The six year cycle for tropical cyclones brought back "Marty" this year for the eastern Pacific (EPAC), as it wasn't retired in 1991 or 1997.
