NATIONAL TROPICAL WEATHER CONFERENCE
I will be attending the National Tropical Weather Conference in April representing STORM2K. I would encourage anyone else who wants to go to register now before all the slots are filled. This is the link to the conference: http://www.hurricanecenterlive.com/. Several of our members will be making presentations at the conference. Many of the top people in tropical meteorology will be there. I hope some of you can find the time to come and join us. Please don't wait too long to register since there are a limited number of spots available. If you have any questions post them here and I or someone else who is going will try and answer them here or direct you to someone who can. Hope to see you there!!

Re: NATIONAL TROPICAL WEATHER CONFERENCE
Fantastic! You and Brian will both be there which is awesome. Kerry and I will be there and I am speaking on Friday about HURRB and the progress with our new generation of surge cams. The line-up is impressive and I applaud Alex Garcia for his inclusion of people who are on the front lines both in the media, the NHC and in the field such as Josh M. and myself. The broad scope of presenters is refreshing, including Storm2K's own wxman57 who will also be speaking. It will be awesome to see you there, looking forward to it!

I'll be there as well. Flying in on Wednesday with Brian. Steve & David arrive in Harlingen around the same time as us on Wednesday. Not sure if I'm returning to Houston on Saturday or Sunday. I have a presentation on Thursday and I'm on a discussion panel on Friday.

I have to agree with Mark and Wxman57!! Alex Garcia has outdone himself on the presenters this year! I am very excited to be able to be a part of this and to see everyone!! Don't you know the limo will be rocking on the way from the airport?? LOL!!

I'll be on that 9:10am flight out of Hobby, too, but I think I'll return on Sunday. This is definitely the best conference I've attended. Decided to go to the NTWC vs. the AMS tropical conference in Puerto Rico.

As much as I would love to go ( and Katdaddy tried to get me to go...LOL), I have a dissertation I have to do revises on. I am sorry, but I am on the final 5 miles of a marathon and I have to finish.

Re: NATIONAL TROPICAL WEATHER CONFERENCE
Wow! that had to be a tough decision! I'm not sure if I could have made that decision if I had to choose. I've always wanted to to to Puerto Rico ever since my dad said we were moving there when he got his met degree. Unfortunately neither of those ever happened, but he is the person that made me the weather geek I am.wxman57 wrote:I'll be on that 9:10am flight out of Hobby, too, but I think I'll return on Sunday.
