Preliminary data suggests it was an EF2 Tornado that moved thru SW Cape Coral on January 9 in the early night hours.

I'm going to disagree with the tornado rating and say it should have been EF3 based upon the damage.
That damage looks like cat 3 hurricane damage, which produces gusts in the EF3 range. The EF scale, I believe, is based off of gusts, not sustained winds.
That damage looks consistent with a mid range category 3 hurricnae, which would be the equivalent of an EF3 not an EF2 tornado.

Damage was extensive in Pompano Beach,Florida.Let's wait and see how they rate it.
