Sad pictures. Has anybody here uncovered any worthwhile storm surges pics/movies? I am particulary interested in the term "Storm surge". To me it is a misnomer. Does the surge of water come at once or in stages, can you see it coming or does it gradually increase. I know the Tsunami waves come at once but does a hurricane surge really come all at once? I am not naive at all but have seen videos and pics of hurricane surge and have not yet seen definitive proof of a sudden wall of water. Any help will be appreciated.

I don't believe it's a wall of water at all. I think it's jsut very quickly rising waters... but I could be wrong :)
