Re: SIO: INVEST 99S
This should not affect any landmasses and will last for a few days.

Re: SIO: INVEST 99S
that's a hurricane intensity system, without doubt, as I said in the thread I started at the same time as yours
There is a well defined eye. I have also checked on meteosat7 imagery

Luis, did you find that image above on a website? I haven't been able to find a good Himawari-8 website, or at least one that is easy to navigate.

I'd hate to be under this slow moving intense cyclone that hadn't moved much.

Re: SIO: EMERAUDE - Tropical Cyclone 15S
Latest satellite imagery and ASCAT indicate that Emeraude may be barely hanging on to TC status this morning. An ASCAT pass overnight indicated 40kt winds. Looks like it fell apart after that pass.

Re: SIO: EMERAUDE - Tropical Cyclone 15S
Shear + dryair tamed the system down rapidly , actually starting to look a better on the past few NOOA satellite pictures
JTWC is forecasting the now TS to regain hurricane status on the cimss track.

Re: SIO: EMERAUDE - Tropical Cyclone 15S
This thing dissipated several hours ago
ASCAT shows a poorly defined circulation and no winds above 25 to 30 kts. This is conclusively not a cyclone
