Part of my ceiling just fell in up here from the hail damaged roofs last week in Wylie...

Re: Texas Spring 2016
Reporting from Houston (Humble rather). The rainfall rates are just staggering. Wow. Houston Community College is closed. Humble ISD is closed. We went through a stretch of torrential rains for two solid hours. Vivid lightning and thunder accompanying it. I have not seen that in awhile. I am safe. We are on a high point in our subdivision. I know David (Vbhouston) and Steve (Srain) got a lot of rain. We all live north of Houston. More to come. Yea. No.

They are now talking about closing I-45 tonight because of the bayous flooding.

Re: Texas Spring 2016
I got an email at work saying that our regional office is closed today. My sister n' law who lives in Katy said it was raining all night and the schools are closed. My mother' n' law, also in Katy, said that it was raining non-stop all night, and she also heard hail on the house around midnight last night. She just had runoff in her street. They're both safe.
My mother n' law said she heard NW Houston got 12 inches of rain.

In case you guys are interested, here's a site for Harris County's Flood Warning system. It shows rainfall recorded at the weather stations around.

Re: Texas Spring 2016
I've had 8.74" so far and more to come. Was a firehose from midnight to 5am. Spits of hail in the heaviest downpours. Never heard it rain so hard. Most of my neighborhood is without power but we are not flooded. I'm fortunately on a high point...

Thunder in the distance. More coming our way later. Light rain in Humble as we speak. At least this gives some hope for drainage.....At least I can bike and run at home ( oh yeah, read and write too.)

Good news is that the boundary is moving onto the coast, im expecting it to return later though or possibly the boundary SE of San Antonio to park itself somewhere in the SE Tx area.

Re: Texas Spring 2016
Only 4.44 here in W League City as the most intense training rains remained to our NW overnight. The concern remains for more development later today and overnight.
