No, I haven't heard from rainstorm or hurricanedude, but I was bored this evening and did some searching on Lisa Mozer's website (Yes, Lisa has a website; no, it's not called crappyocms.com). The very few of you that still watch TWC may have noticed Lisa Mozer's absence this month. And during that time there have been some rumors regarding how she departed TWC (if indeed she did). Well, I believe I have found the answers...and...apparently she WAS fired after all! The following comes directly from the chatroom on http://www.lisamozer.com. Some unimportant parts have been edited out to shorten the post a bit, but I have left the juicy details intact:

Mikey:She has serious issues with dealing with the truth. Thats why shes in the mess she is now. Too much pride. See where it will get a person? Maybe she should write a book "How to get fired from a good job and struggle like the typical American" by Lisa Mozer. Maybe she can get some pointers from Jayson Blair.
Aaron:All: God grants us the capacity of understanding and just because she has missed some chats we have to recognize that she has struggles to just like all of us. One usually does not get sacked for one reason, there are several, many of which are unjust and wrong. I hope this becomes a site of kindness and graciousness, instead of vitriol. If she has much time constraints because of transitions, we have to understand. She is another person with feelings like any other good American. To compare her to Blair is totally off base. I suspect she got in trouble over an occasional faux pas, most of which I found attractive and delightful. Willard Scott once said something about Dial and Colgate when the sponsors were Irish Spring and Arm and Hammer. My late wife and I got a good hoot out of it and met him a few years later and he was unbelievably charming and just plain folks. I said something in Canary Islands a fortnight ago in a Brit pub which simply came out wrong. People were insulted for a minute, friends I know fairly well, but they were kind enough to realize I misspoke. The rule is, be angry for a few minutes, count to ten, then forgive. I wish the WC could have that capacity. She deserves to be on the air since she perked me up when my wife was dying. It's payback time for all of us to have some understanding. Stay positive, please. Show some love.

I just think that she said "The Gulf of Georgia" one too many times. I'm sure she's a nice person but for crying out loud, she's a met for the military! I understand an occassional faux pas, but she's says them and keeps right on going like there's nothing wrong! I do wish her the best of luck on her talk show.

I liked her when she first started..thinking she was a humble newcomer learning the ropes. As she got more comfortable a nasty ego attitude came out and her quality did not improve.. She will be fine..she had already planned on moving on as she is already working on a masters in the Aviation Safety field..fine with me.

I've heard that one as well.
It does seem like there's alot of speculation in the chat room about Lisa and they were hoping they could get her to confirm that she left/was fired/etc. She didn't confrim it, but by stating that she now will be hosting a talk show on a radio station says to me that she probably is not with TWC anymore.
I guess we'll see - if she pops up on an afternoon schedule again at TWC, then we know it's false.
