What to Add to Hurricane Kit for Babies?

Hi all. A first time mom here and we just moved back to Houston with our 3 month old son. Does anyone have suggestions on what to add to our kits that they have found useful? We learned what helps with the pups during Ike, but would prefer suggestions to on the job learning for the kid....

Small Colorful Toys such as teething rings, jingle keys and plushies. Anything brite that will distract lil ones from lightning and storm noise. While it's good to pack that ONE favorite toy last minute, a few "duplicates" or cheapies are always good to have ready in a 72-hour bag. Think $1 Stores for small, cost effective & variety. And same as clothes, review you options every six months or so.

For slightly older tots, fresh coloring books & crayons & blank spiral books for drawing are worth their weight in good!
Inexpensive Craft Kits & Card Games for school agers too (ie beading, jewelry making, string art, Uno & Blink Cards).
We once evacuated with 10 kids (all nieces ages 2-10). An inflatable Beach Ball passed hours onto days or repeated boredom.
Some of older ones best memories now was of actually coloring & drawing stories for the littler ones. (Performance per say of Stars Wars, Ghostbusters, and Batman). Even the adults could de-stress that way.

BTW the binkie, pacifier is your key to sanity in close quarters ... even if you're not a fan long-term use. just saying:)

Thank you both! That is exactly the types of advice I was looking for.

I have been trying to get him to take a binkie anyway to stop him from suxking on his fingers as much, but no dice. But the dollar store type toys are a great idea. I have a few years on the rest.
