Well the low that is forecast to be close to the Panhandle this week might be pushing through from the north around Panama City.

Perry looks like a good candidate over a foot in the last 24 hours.
Thank God there isn't a LLC out over the gulf creating a wind event there.
The soil is saturated and the tree roots would not withstand much wind.

Some pretty good pressure drops along the Miss/Al gulf coast as well as the Panhandle area. In the 1011 to 1010 mb range a 2 to 3 mb drop from yesterday in some cases.

Maybe a little twist in the clouds south of the Fl. panhandle? IMO

Shear is the strongest it's been in weeks throughout the entire Gulf of Mexico right now. If anything were to attempt to try and get going again it's going to have an extremely difficult time doing so.

its that exact shear that leaves a small chance of development. by keeping the convection and MLC over the water.

I don't see any current flood warnings (river or otherwise) in the flood watch areas within the Tampa bay CWA (Pasco county and north). the extreme rains (there are 20"+ estimates on the Tampa radar) are all offshore. We're certainly saturated but I can't find any meaningful flooding. If we get additional heavy rains we're going to have some water issues but the additional rain estimates have been dramatically reduced as compared to earlier forecasts. Pasco county has been in the news because there is a great deal of fear there after last year's floods...fortunately a repeat of that has not transpired so far..

Pasco county is flooding. At least certain neighborhoods.
Specifically Port Richey, Hudson and NPR. it was on the local news. Check local news facebook page. Either wfts or wtsp.
