NOAA put out a graphic telling all in south east Texas to closely monitor this situation. I know we should watch it but seems like a little unnecessary pot stirring this early with this little confidence.

The comments and opinions I make are borderline crazy and should not be taken too seriously. Please consult NOAA for information.

Another tweet about split vortices.

I kinda missed the secondary one today (primary had all my attention), but if Aric is right and Hispaniola kills the secondary one, the primary one will that free up the primary to get going again? Just when you think you've seen it all.

Is this some odd case the models just can't handle well?

99L looks almost in the clear from the shredder. The center (if there is one) should pass just to the north of Hispaniola.

I'm really thinking that the LLC over PR will be primary. It's already going through warm waters, however convection is not building.

It is time to call Dr. McCoy in for 99L. 99L looks dead nothing more than a rain maker of anything. Just an opinion.

I'm starting to lean towards agreeing with the gfs as well. But will wait til Friday before fully converting. Just has been way to consistent with the lack of development to keep ignoring.

It has roughly 1000 miles of warm water, I wouldn't call bones just yet.

Looks like some thunderstorms are forming right by the primary LLC

Worst case (for EM) would be it stays weak until the Bahamas and a match goes off and strengthens rapidly before landfall. If they overhype it and nothing happens it'll be worse the next go around.

Just like the last few days this has fired convection between 7 and 8 which is right on cue

I agree. No time for Bones now.

Just an opinion: too much -removed- on here this evening.

I've been distracted by the impressive surprise tornado outbreak today. I still think this should be given at least another night before people go all bones.

There are way too many people in this thread who are calling 99L dead when there is plenty of evidence otherwise; not the least of which is the Euro. Calm down and actually utilize the tools that are out there.

finally starting to see the low level inflow from the sw .. shows up nicely on radar in the mona passage. you can see it finally bending in towards the llc. .. the weak rotation near HR is of course dead now over the mountains. convection should be coming in the next few hours.

No, no, no. As much as I liked the new Star Trek movie, Bones is going to stay on screen for now, I think. Some convection refiring near the center, and Hispanola should kill off the other vortex competing for the title of true center. That's my read, anyway
