General site issues...

#1 Postby mf_dolphin » Tue Sep 23, 2003 8:30 pm

Leave it to Murphy...

The http://www.storm2k.org domain name should have switched to the new site by today. Unfortunately something happened at our old host and it looks like the switch is all fouled up. :-( I have asked that they research and resolve the issue. Until it gets fixed there will be intermittent problems including login problems and cookies going nuts. Please hang with us and we'll work throough the issues.
Sorry again for the problems!

A big thank you Joshua :-)

One way to tell whether you're seeing the new site or the old site is to go to http://www.storm2k.org. If you see an announcement about the Message Board being back up, that's from the old site. The new site doesn't have that message on it. :-) It's not a big deal right now since we reroute the messageboard from the old site to the new site but I thought you might be interested. :-)

Update: I spoke with the Domain transfer department at our old host. Basically they screwed the pooch. They are reinitiating the transfer tonight so it could be another 48 hours to settle down. The bigger ISP's usually update within 12 hours. :-)

That's great news! Our old host was based in Sacramento, CA so it makes sense that you would see the address change pretty quickly. :-)

Who are you guest? If you have AIM my address is mfdolphin56. The usual fix is to delete your Internet Explorer cookies and reboot. When you come back in you will have to login in. If you've forgotten you password just let me know your username and I'mm change it and e-mail you a new password. Good Luck!
