I think its getting a little late in the season to worry about serious or persistent SAL outbreaks.


Not when you see one that's commencing, plainly evident on the satellite time lapse that was posted. :-)

18z GFS. Near the Leewards at 138 hours and slowly developing.It does that after 50W.

18z GFS is much faster than the 12z run. It also doesn't appear to have as large of a weakness in the ridge.
