I AM AT THE LIBRARY. we had 88 mph gusts. many trees down and houses destroyed. i still have no power due to a jerk down the street that wont get a tree off the lines. the family is fine. another storm is forming!!

RAINSTORM!!!!!

HELEN!!!! SO GLAD TO KNOW YOU ARE OK!!! Why don't you just go down the street and whip that neighbor(?) into shape!!!! I feel for you! I still remember Alicia and her aftermath(7 days no power in August!) like it was yesterday.

Thoughts and prayers do pay off. I've been thinking about you alot Helen. It's so good to see you alright and safe!!!!

Miracles really do happen. Thank goodness you're back with us and you're fine!!! That's the most important thing!!!

http://community.webshots.com/album/91503828efqviB shows the surge even this far north in Maryland. 60-70 mph gusts with 6-8 foot surge!!

Glad you're OK, Rainstorm. Want to borrow a chainsaw for your neighbor? (I mean his tree, of course)....

I'd also like to appologize for blowing the Va Beach forecast of calling for only gusts to hurricane force.

I also kind of blew it for the Bel Air region, though my grand parents and uncles made it through OK, though they did lose power and there were trees down in that area as well
