looks like an intense band just offshore Pinellas moving NE

Flights out to the Pacific systems (near Hawaii) are right now originating out of MacDill??

Recon did not turn back. Still headed in as of 1305 local. All SFMRs on the last batch of data were 35 KT or greater.

Flight aware extrapolates when they don't have new data. This doesn't have a set flight path so it assumes it's heading towards an airport like a normal plane.

My guess would be that the NASA tracker has the real-time data and the FA tracker estimates locations and travel paths based on pre-entered and scheduled data which might be erroneous in this case.
