5 PM advisory on TS Juan=TS warning for Bermuda

50 mph maximun winds and moving NNW at 8 mph.Oh no Bermuda again :cry: after what happened with Fabian there but at least this is a tropical storm.

Fabian churned up water pretty good, hopefully that will help keep this one in check!

Poor Bermuda!! My thoughts and prayers! Even if it is just a TS, they sure don't need it and I have seen TS's do more damage than a cat 1!

I can't picture Bermuda getting hit by 2 canes directly even if the 2nd one is much weaker.. I pray it stays a TS

Hopefully, Juan will be weak when it affects Bermuda. Then if it wants to strengthen, that's OK. :wink:

I don't believe the waters south of Bermuda are still upwelled from Fabian.

It's amazing to think that they could be affected by two tropical systems weeks apart like this! I don't think they've been affected by another tropical system for years before this. I hope that Juan's gentle on them!

Public Advisory 2a suggests that this storm is a tad stronger than was first thought - track seems to be to the east of Bermuda however.

Tropical storm force winds extend out 200 miles, a very large radius... Juan may be more of a hybrid than a true TS...

Regarding hurricanes, Bermuda is one of the most exposed places in the Atlantic. The approach of each hurricane season is probably viewed with much trepidation by Bermudians.
