Blue flash potential with power outages are likely coming from Citrus to Pinellas if this holds together and eases on in. throw in some extreme rainfall rates too.

Looks like it will probably hold together quite nicely. Actually from radar looks like it could still be getting a bit stronger. :double:

Well, the NHC didn't really expect much more intensification anyway, so it's doing exactly what it suppose to have done.......Nonetheless, tons of rain. It's going to be very ugly as well for the East Coast......It appears to almost stall or move very slowly day 4 and 5......

No, a lot of the wave crests are going over. But, if the sea comes up a foot, it will be pretty wet.

Larry, you closed to the coast?

I'm about 12-13 miles from the coast as a bird flies.

Waves are starting to pound the back of that building pretty good right now too...

What will it look like in Augusta? Will they be on the "dry" side?

Feel sorry for these folks who are finding out what life after a hurricane is about. Going to suck for them. Plus huge deductibles if they own property.

Certainly didn't deepen as much as I thought it would the last few hours. Seems to have all but halted. Not a bad little system, if this had gotten it's act together earlier this could've gotten real ugly.

Here in SAV, I already got nearly 2" in the bucket from just a half hour of very heavy rains from the first outer squalls! Unreal!

First major outer band moving through NE Florida right now. Hermine really impressed today, very close to Cat 2 intensity of right now. Loos like landfall will be around midnight. Just under an inch at the start.

Absolutely. After going through Andrew, Katrina, Gustav, and countless more, watching that live video of Cedar Key makes me cringe. I used to think an incoming storm would be a cool thing to experience, but I want no part of these things anymore. Thinking of you guys dealing with this.

This deepened a lot more than I ever thought it would. If you had told me that we would have a landfalling hurricane with a well defined eye last night, I would have laughed.
