Ohio Valley Region; Fall/(Non)Winter '16-'17
Believe it or not, the season change is only a few weeks away, no matter how you define it.
Any thoughts on what to expect? Continued warm and wet, or an unpleasant pattern change? CPC's extended outlooks (for whatever they're worth) all seem to indicate warmer and drier than normal. I think I could handle that.

I really don't know. I would prefer warm weather until mid december.

It was almost chilly this morning for my walk. Just under 60 degrees made me dig out a sweat jacket instead of the usual t-shirt.

Are you ready for some 60s?
Raises hand. Not getting them though. Still getting upper 80s for highs.

We should be done with the 90's, I hope. Nice walking weather this morning.

I made it down to 50 about a week or so ago! And picked up 3.48" of rain Sunday morning.

According to the old timers, could be in for a pretty eventful winter. Lots of ice, fingers crossed!

Dodged a bullet tonight. Came home under ominous eerie looking skies, was not even paying attention to the weather. Tornado warning one county west of us with softball sized hail. It weakened as it passed right over us, worse hail was just under dime sized. Rotation on radar but no confirmed tornado. Moved the kids to the basement as the sirens were blaring and lighting was constant. It's spring, right?

I don't know about your neck of the valley, but some of our worst storms have been in November. I've had F2s and F3s within a few miles, literally. Like 3 or 4 miles. I'm reasonably sure at least one has gone straight over head, lifted and not visible.
I've gotten to where I do NOT like November.

Hmmm, 80s back in the forecast. Fancy that.
The Texans are fussin' about a cold outbreak in a couple of weeks. I don't like cold. And being as close to the latest first freeze record as we are, I'd like the cold to hold off for a while.

We are going up to Columbus for the weekend. The forecast was for low 60's but now it looks like 70's for most of the trip. I'm ok with that but we're going to skip the comfortable weather and dive right into winter if this keeps up.

If there's a flip in the works, I want it to be GRADUAL. Sudden changes in November can get very, VERY ugly.

Latest First Freeze record date of November 13th might be in play after all. Low Saturday night/Sunday morning 13/14 is forecast for 35. A couple of degrees either way will make the difference, record or tie. Everything between now and then is forecast upper 30s or above.
