Are you asking what they are (Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao) or what impacts may be for them?

I asked about impacts on the previous page. :D

Well, I know it is the long held myth of the late great John Hope concerning the Eastern Caribbean being a graveyard for many tropical cyclones. The inflow grom South America has really played havoc on numerous cyclones that have traversed this region through the years. So, it is rather plausible that 97L may struggle to get going ehile down there.

I think much of the eastern Caribbean unfavorability comes from the usually divergent low-level trade wind flow in July-August. I don't see that as being an issue with this system.

Yeah you are probably right.

First few frames on visible seem to suggest improving organization. I'm curious to see if recon finds a better low level circulation on successive passes.

Recon found SW winds where you woudl expect to find them, in the lower level inflow, so it's close to closing off a low but not quite yet.

IMO, it might be well organized enough to upgrade it into TS, compared to yesterday is much better.

The anti-cyclone still looks like it's in a good location.

IMO this is no better organized then when recon went into yesterday afternoon, same elongated area of light shifting winds.

I'm in no way any type of weather expert, but it does look much more organized this morning. Interested to see the next few updates.

The shear on the CIMSS map is being caused by a large scale upper tropospheric trough that has been well forecast and is continuing to weaken. Environment still looks very very favorable in 12 to 24 hours.

This thing looks very close to being designated to me, and I wouldn't be surprised if it goes straight to a TS based on some of the winds found well N of the apparent center by recon. We'll know soon enough.

I don't know...I see zero evidence that this is closed off. However, when/if this closes off, it will surely be 'Matthew' (and could already be a mid-level TS by that point).

Still looks very tilted with height. The MLC is displaced NNE of what seems to be a suspect LLC but elongated still trying to form. Don't know if NHC can pull the trigger on this quite yet.

This one hasn't caused me too much pain until yesterday, so I haven't been keeping up with its progress. When I got home last night, my arthritis was starting to act up. This morning isn't as bad as last night, but still hurting enough to be aware that this storm means business. I'll be in and out of this thread until it leaves my area. Stay safe everyone! :double:
