I am up in Michigan, but lived in Palm Coast and Daytona Beach for many years. I am watching WFTV and WESH out of Orlando. Just go right to there website and you can see the link to watch live streaming.

The primary rainband west of the core is less than 100 nautical miles away from the Miami radar now. That means the lowest elevation scan is seeing echoes at about 2.5 km high. Furthermore, NEXRAD radars are S-band, so attenuation by liquid water is minimum. The low-echo region around the eyewall is definitely real.

I'd try youtube, there might be some live news feeds from online news sources.

Matthew is still tracking to the right of the NHC forecast track - has been all morning. Unless something changes, I am cautiously optimistic the center will stay offshore.

Seems like Matt likes to wobble overall between 300 degrees and 355 degrees. More or less in line with NW motion. But overall it seems to wobble 355 longer than 300 which is why it does seem to now average about 330 degrees or so. Here in Fort Lauderdale not a single band, did not see even gusts nearing 25 mph yet.

The outer eyewall appears to be building rather quickly. A 1.3* tilt image shows that the inner eyewall isn't getting cut off yet, but the outer is going a long way in establishing itself.

Yeah, thanks for the reference to the WPB one. I was interested in meteorologists on-site when it happens (like Cantore, most of TWC). I can't get TWC, or any other major stations lice streaming without a cable provider.. and it is rather annoying. Is the West Palm Beach station going to be on the scene?

The double eyewall is actually happening. Seems too big! I thought it was dry air intrusion at first..

Even small changes in the track may help.

It seems like it missed Miami well offshore.

No cable provider needed.

Last few frames it almost looks to be going due north to my untrained eyes. Could just be a wobble however.

Well it has roughly 20 hours to complete it and deepen.. it technically could.

Doppler velocities suggest there might already be hurricane force winds near the surface in the primary rainband west of the eye. Eyeballing the display, it looks like about 75 kts just below 700 mb to the NW of the eye. Not sure if the 90% reduction to the surface should be applied here though.

If this completes the hurricane force winds will most definitely expand to polk and lake counties too if it stays on path or even a little west

It is a wobble. I'm looking at a very long loop. It should miss the next forecast point to the east, but not by much.....but with Matthew paralleling the coast, every mile counts.
