Is that broken band on the edge of the rain tornadic? It looks like there are some strong cells in there rotating into the coast.

Northern Brevard and Volusia Counties are going to get hit hard if Matthew does not changes heading to a more NNW track during the next 4 hours.

FLight level winds back up to 135 mph in NE quad. That is the highest they have been in this entire mission and possibly mission before as well

You can't see the cam, but there is a neat real-time Wind Speed tracker on the page. (Near Melbourne)

Is there some tilt going on? The eye on satellite looks about 20-30 miles east on satellite compared to the latest VDM.

No, that's just some less warm high clouds to the NE of the eye, you can see it rotating around the eye to the SW of it.

North wobble. Eyewall should remain offshore for at least 30 more minutes

Looks like late afternoon is when. Matthew will bring his impacts to Jax area. The hurricane winds should reach the Ponte Vedra and Jacksonville Beach area around 5:00 -9:00 will be the worst .

Too bad Patrick air force base in Cocoa Beach is not reporting, there would had been some nice wind reports from them. I guess they evacuated and shut down the whole place.

Windy but very little rain right now after picking up a quick 5" in the evening with the outer feeding squalls. I only lost power for a few minutes about an hour ago.
