2016 TCRs
Is possible that the TC report of ALEX may be released before the 2016 North Atlantic season begins so that is why I made the topic at this time.

I agree it will likely be out before the season starts, probably right after all the 2015 reports are completed.

Is now a matter of time for the report to be released.

Re: 2016 TCRs
Nothing really changed regarding Alex. Landfall intensity decreased a tad to 55 kt (although that is a very uncertain estimate to begin with).
I would have argued for an 80 or 85 kt peak intensity due to the ADT and baroclinic forcing at its peak personally, and also wonder if it was ever subtropical (instead would have gone tropical right away).

Been a hot minute since any TCR's have come out. Hopefully we can get them soon as things calm down again.

I think I remember there being a dump of weaker storms' reports about midway between Thanksgiving and Christmas last year.

Re: 2016 TCRs
Darby upped to 105 knots at peak. Was also a major hurricane for 18 hours, as opposed to 6 hours which was what they operationally recognised.

Re: 2016 TCRs
I'd expect the last of the NHC reports to come in February or March. A long break may mean they are working on a major one (such as Matthew).
