Front just moved through here in Houston. Temp dropped 10 degrees in 1 minute.

The GFS sure looks interesting. If it verifies a lot of us weather folks in Texas would sure be happy.

A lot to follow the coming days. Christmas storm looks legit. But still 7 days out, I'm hoping it works to give us here the 3rd snow on Christmas in 7 years. Before that 1 out of 100 years of records.

Meanwhile 23F at DFW and not even midnight yet. I'm thinking teens are coming.

I think yall should share. :ggreen: San Antonio and Austin havent seen snow in over 10 years period. We were too far north during the 2004 White Christmas in south Texas...

We need that to move about 250 miles south/southeast so the Austin area can finally get some accumulating snow.

I wouldn't worry what it is showing this far out. It will shift, disappear etc several more times. As long as we can keep the 500mb big storm we're in good shape.

PWC is working frantically to get that to happen. I believe the lead Grey Goose swelling met is out chasing with Champ the Charger some cold air.

Euro looks warmer and slower than the GFS with the Christmas storm so far

at Midnight Christmas morning DFW pushing 60 and OKC even in the 50s

Euro says what snowstorm Christmas Day lol DFW is near 70 degrees and OKC well into the 60s(which had a raging snowstorm on the GFS)

While the GFS has the low near Houston the Euro is in Iowa

19F at DFW airport as of 3am with a wind chill of 2F. Ties the 2013 December low temp coldest since 05. The cold has verified at DFW, a little below OP guidance actually.

Well, the car started. Car thermometer fluctuated between 16 and 18 degrees from Frisco to the airport. Brrrr. My feet are frozen.
